Cash-Based Physical Therapy Services
Cash-Based Physical Therapy: What Does It Mean?
As a cash-pay practice, I believe in cost transparency. I do not bill insurance companies for physical therapy services and you will not receive any surprise bill. Instead, clients pay for their sessions at the time of service. This model allows me to provide highly individualized, one-on-one care without the limitations that can sometimes accompany insurance-based treatment. My focus remains where it belongs—on your goals, your concerns, and your progress.
Depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible for reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Upon request, I can provide a detailed receipt, known as a superbill, for you to submit to your insurance company.
Why Choose a Cash-Pay Model?
I created my practice around the belief that exceptional care requires time, attention, and a personalized approach.
Rather than structuring treatment around insurance requirements, I am able to design care plans based on what is most appropriate for each individual. This allows me to spend more time listening, educating, treating, and supporting you throughout your healing journey.
Benefits of Cash-Pay Physical Therapy
One-on-One Care
Every session is spent directly with me. You gain consistency and will not spend portions of your appointment with support staff. This allows for a deeper understanding of your needs and more personalized care.
Treatment Tailored to You
Your symptoms, goals, lifestyle, and history are unique. I create individualized treatment plans designed specifically for you, adjusting as your needs evolve throughout your care.
More Time and Attention
Longer appointment times allows me to thoroughly assess your concerns, provide more hands-on treatment, answer questions, and ensure you feel confident in your plan of care.
Greater Flexibility
Without insurance-imposed visit restrictions or treatment requirements, we can focus on the interventions that best support your goals and overall well-being.
Direct Communication
You have access to direct communication with me throughout your care. I believe collaboration, education, and open communication are essential components of successful outcomes.
Whole-Person Care
Rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or body part, I take a comprehensive approach that considers how your physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors influence your health and recovery.
Out-of-Network Benefits and Superbills
Some insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that may provide partial reimbursement for physical therapy services. If requested, I will provide a superbill that you may submit directly to your insurance company. Reimbursement is determined solely by your insurance plan, and I cannot guarantee coverage or payment. Please call your insurance company to ask for your “out of network physical therapy” benefits.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Please do!! Physical therapy services are typically eligible expenses for Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). I recommend confirming eligibility with your plan administrator if you have questions about your specific account.
